What's the difference between these and other Windows discs (if any)?
Am I able to use the Alienware Windows disc from my m11x to restore the OS on my m17x?

    Thanks

There isnt much different between the two, because as far as I can tell, the AW Windows Disc install the same way as the standard Win 7 Disc except for you dont need to enter your serial/product key because it seem to integrate into the installation and skip that step entirely, so I guess DVD can only be use on one system at the time same, however correct me if I'm wrong, but it look like that's how it is, because everytime I reinstall Windows (on other computer) I have to enter the key either during the installation or after everytime, and that step doesnt exist on the AW Win 7 installation.

However, for the restore I guess you can because it only need to restore files not install, only way to find out is to try it, dont think it will hurt your system though.
