Cany any owners tell me if you find Alienware laptop keyboards comfortable to game on?

When I game on a pc I can swivel my normal keyboard at an angle which I find more comfortable and also my keyboard is loped where as the alienware is raised about 1" or so.

You're asking an entirely subjective question.

I guess I can answer you pretty well though...I used to be extremely picky about how my desktop keyboard was situated - had it at an angle just like you. Ever since i switched to laptops, I have gotten used to gaming on their keyboards. The M17X R3 keyboard is one of the best laptop keyboards I have used. Very comfortable and accessible.

I would like to tell you they are nice to game with once you get used to them. They are a little bulky but as long as you leave yourself some room to move your arm around it will be fine. I have actually grown to like very well myself.

I have no problems touch-typing on the M17x keyboard. My step-fathers Studio 14 is another story.

Mine goes all over the place. Depends on the height of the desk :)

I don't have any issues gaming on Alienware's laptop keyboards. They're traditional style laptop keyboards, which I find a lot easier to game on than the new chiclet-style ones (tried an ASUS G74SX briefly and just could not get used to it).

Both the m17x r3 and the m18x that I've used stay put on the desk fairly well.

I have had no issues what so ever gaming on mine. Good feel and easy to get used to.

more comfy than my G73 i would say, the chiclet style keyboard looks very nice but does not function well. I would say the m17x r3's keyboards are very good for gaming.

ARE YOU !@#$ING KIDDING ME?! I swear, all alienware keyboards fare the most comfortable keyboards I have used on a laptop (except that tiny, finger cramping M11x...)

Then again, one may find getting tied up, strangled and spanked comfortable, meaning comfort is subjective.

Sounds kinky.. :cough: wait, what? :p

Yeah the M11x is little cramped, but that's a Compal designed and built model versus our M17x which is a Flextronics build.

Very comfortable. I've used chiclet, and standard desktop keyboards before, and this one is easily the most comfortable. The only thing i dislike is how if you press deeply, you might might nudge the surrounding keys when you come up slightly. And the flex. But otherwise, a fantastic keyboard

My M15x keyboard is the best laptop keyboard I've ever used. :p
