For those interested, it works !
Just have to flash the bios with Version A12 after installing the graphic card.
The laine frome the video card dock can pass trought the battery location, so the notebook isn't open all the time like I've seen from many other configurations, it's still transportable, just dont't have a battery.

I'd be interested in seeing benchmarks and whatnot and maybe a picture of where you plugged it in to. This sort of thing was always bottlenecked and deemed not worth it as far as I knew. But I'd be glad to be proven wrong

    It doesn't work.
1- Win 7 recognize the Egpu, installed the driver but get an error 12: cannot allocate resources against it in Device Manager.
(due to insufficient 32-bit addressing space. By manually adding a memory range outside of this 32-bit space, you can force Windows to operate in 36-bit space instead to host eGPU)
2- to extend the system in 36-bit I made a DSDT override (not a funny part ...)
3-it creates a "large memory" entry in Device Manager for windows to allocate the egpu.
4-BUT: actually windows doesn't detect the Egpu anymore ... :)

    My options:
    - Try to Re plug'n'play the devices
-Try with the wireless mini card slot (I don't think it solve my problem as I windows was able to detect and instal the card via the WHID connector).
    -Try a pci relocation
-Try using eGPU Setup 1.3 PCI Compaction
-I don't know nothing about the last two solutions

I have ordered one with Expresscard connection and will see if i can get it to work with my m17x r3 or my m18x r1. They arent that expensive so its worth the try.
