    So, here goes.

Today I turned on my AW only to find a blank screen, which is weird because I was just using it two days ago with no problems.. Not only was the screen black, not on at all, the Alienware logo at the bottom also didn't light up, the fans didn't spin up, and it didn't boot to windows either (listened for it).

I was able to get the display working, and into Windows by clearing the CMOS, and switching the video to SG in the BIOS. I did run into a couple funny things doing this. The first time I boy after clearing CMOS I'm greeted by five beeps. I restart and then I can go past post. The first time I removed the AMD drivers upon restart I also had to clear clouds again.

Last time I was using it all was well in windows, except for the lack of my GPU.

Just FYI I did some power cycles and tested the memory and reseated the graphics card. I'm using HWInfo to control fan speed in windows at the moment.

If you have any ideas on other things I should/can try please share. in really hoping my blog isn't dead bought it ten months ago after my first one died, and it was expensive for me.

More sobbing here: my desktop GPU kicked the bucket two weeks ago too

5 beeps is cmos battery failure.
    Perhaps time for new battery?

    Good luck :)

Is it possible that would cause issues with my video card? Anyway it's not expensive to try.
