Hey, it seems that your laptop doesn't recognize 7970m.

Most likely, it is a driver issue. Try to make full/clean uninstall of GPU drivers and go for ones supplied by Dell. If card will not appear in device manager, try modded 12.5/12.6 drivers (links can be found around this forum part). As a last resort, make clean install of OS.

Second option is that 7970m is not connected properly or dead. That would be very unfortunate and you will need to return the laptop for repairs. Before settling on this option, try the advice.

    Hey thanks for reply ,

i have uninstalled drivers , installed fresh OS and removed the card and re-connected it . just not showing in bios or device manager

i have tried taking power out , removing battery and holding power button down and still nothing :(

was hoping i had missed something and wouldnt have to wait for dell to send a engineer out to replace the card as according to tech guy they are out of stock of 7970m and i could be in for a wait

sucks really the laptop has only just turned a month old..

what about the Fn-F7 key...does it do anything? Do you have OSD app installed?

If your 7970M is not recognized in the BIOS, then it is almost certainly dead and needs to be replaced. Bad luck, but it happens.
