    Hi everyone,

First to say, I'm not a native English speaker so my English might cause confuses/misunderstands sometimes so sorry about that.

Anyway, currently, my alienware is having problems with the light system as it displays the color incorrectly, especially the white color. While the keyboard is white, the Alienware text and the touch media keys in the front of the screen shows white-pink color. Also for the speakers, the color on the left is a little bit green, and the other one a little bit blue :(. This problem also happens for other colors but it can be seen most clearly when I change the color to white. This is very annoying as I paid quite a lot for this laptop.

Because of the above issue, I want to return this to Dell so they can replace/fix it for me but I'm not living in US/Canada so how can I do this? In my country, there are some computer shops claiming that they are Dell certificated partners and they provide support services for Dell laptops but I doubt that they will care about my alienware :(

I appreciate every helps that anyone can provide me :(

Have you Tried differnt colors on the trouble area and change back. Have you updated your command center. Have you tried differnt colors to see the same issue.

Thank you for your kind but I can write some basic English :)

I have tried different colors and it seems that the problem persists with light color like light blue, light green or white. But for some strong color like green and red, it displays perfectly :(

    Btw, I'm from Vietnam :)

Here are some photos regarding my problem:

The Alienware text and media touch keys are in light-pink color, not white :(

    Left speaker is green.

The right one is little bit blue.

The computer looks fine in red color.

But when I change to white color, it looks like this :(

Just to be clear, the LEDs used have to display a wide range of colors. White is not a TRUE WHITE and the pinkish tint is seen on all AW models.

    This is normal.

I would like to confirm that this is in fact normal. Originally, Alienware did not include white in Command Center due to the uneven light. All light zones have RGB LEDs that combine different colors to produce every color found within command center.

    Thanks,
    Gabe

Yes this is normal, the pinkish color happens on all models including mine. You can't get a white color without it looking a bit pink.

So the green and blue of the speaker light is also normal? If so then thanks for your clarification :)

However, I still have doubt about Dell warranty. If my Alienware is broken and there is no Dell certificated support center in Vietnam then how can I have it repaired for me? Send to Dell in US?

EDIT: one more question: why is the original Windows 7 come with the Alienware is so buggy and slow? mine has BSoD and freeze many times, I tried using the Alienware Respawn but it's still like that :(

Call Support and ask or email them. Only support can provide a 100% answer.

Do you have Alienware Support email, all I see in the Alienware website is phone number which is not a good choice for me calling from Vietnam to US and my English listening/speaking is not so well :(

I just noticed one more thing: the Alienware head on the back of the screen of my m17x keep flashing, before it didn't. So is this normal?

If it is pulsing during sleep/standby this is normal. It can also be set via the AlienFX app to pulse constantly while the system is running.

I didn't enable Advance Mode for AlienFX and also I don't see the pulse option for the Alienware head? Can you show me where is that option?

Well, if you at vietnam, the closest ALIENWARE DELL office is in MALAYSIA and SINGAPORE...
You should call them or e-mail them whether they can do it for you or not...
But i guess they can help ypu since the ALIENWARE DELL warranty is International Warranty....
