I bought an alienware m17x laptop a few years back and did a fresh install of win 7. It has a gtx 660m GPU and I've attempted to install the latest drivers for this component straight from Nvidia's site. I always get the error message stating "NVIDIA Installer cannot continue. This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware". All help is appreciated.

You need to mod the driver to add support for the graphics card
