    Alienware m17x r3 NEED IMMEDIATE HELP!! Driver error.

    Ok, so I was trying to update my drivers. I went into safemode, went into device manager, installed the device and drivers, I restarded the pc, came back and tried to install the drivers and I get this error

    System Specs: 2760QM, 6990m 2GB, 8gb 1600mhz HyperX RAM, 500gb HDD

    Please! Someone help me soon, I have no idea what is going on ;___;

    Ok, saved myself with System Restore so this is not as urgent....but I would still like to know what I did wrong .____.

    how do I create a little tag like yours?

    Sounds like something happened to CCC when you updated your drivers. ATI install package won't run in Safe Mode, you can only manually install drivers via Device Manager in Safe Mode.

    I think you need a fair bit of posts to get signature privileges..

    So how would I go about installing my drivers? Also how can I use none dell drivers, I want to use the new 6990m drivers by AMD, not dell.

    Uninstall all ati drivers in normal mode, Run DriverSweeper in safe mode, uninstall all ati drivers detected by it, restart computer, boot in normal mode, normally install drivers. Also, regarding dell drivers, i've read about people having issues unless they first installed the dell drivers and over them the amd drivers.
