    Hello Guys,

since my 6990m istn working anymore, i wanted to update my alienware with a 7970m from Alienware AMD HD DELL 7970M 2GB GDDR5 -for M15x, M17x , M18x ,upgrade monkey | eBay

    Edit: my Processor is a Intel i7 2670QM @2,20GHz (so 3rd generation)
But before buying it, i have a couple of Questions:

    1. In the Item Description it says i must have 015.022 vBios to be able to plug and play it. I looked with the help of CPU-Z which kinda Bios Version i have and it just tells me: Chipset: Sandy Bridge and Southbridge: HM67. So i started Alienware Autopsy and it tells me the same and Bios Version A12. Nothing more, im struggling at it atm. Any advices?

    2. Is the cooling system of my 6990m able to handle the 7970m? Or do i NEED a completely new one?

    3. Which kinda of Thermalpads would you recommend i should buy?

Sorry for my poor English and thanks in Advance from Germany ;)
