I have got my laptop from US, and took it back to Turkey with me. I have reported that my keyboard does not work on september 18th. Then, it took support 2 weeks to replace my keyboard, result : still doesn't work. After 3 weeks from this, support has replaced my motherboard, result : still doesn't work. Then they said they need to take it to their lab. Now, It has been 27 days as of 10/27/2013 and I'm still waiting for my keyboard to get fixed.

Long story short; I cannot use my computer for the last 40 days. I have never disappointed with any of my electronic purchases this much. Local support doesn't seem like they care at all, since it is in the scope of international guarantee now.

However, DELL is a big company and I believe I shouldn't have gone through all these troubles.

Please don't cross-post. Post only once in the best place. I merged your threads and put this in the M17x sub-forum since it is related to the M17x.

Well, having replaced the keyboard and motherboard, that really limits what the cause can be. Those were the most logical potential cause and it sounds like they did what makes sense from a hardware perspective.

Can you provide more information on what you mean by "doesn't work" for clarity? What aspect of the keyboard does not work? AlienFx is messed up, keystrokes do not register, or something else? How are you using it now? Does a USB keyboard function correctly? Have you tried reinstalling Windows? Does the keyboard work in the BIOS and stop working in Windows? Does the keyboard work if you boot DOS from a thumb drive, or a Linux Live distribution from USB or DVD?
