    Alienware m17x small problem

    could someone please tell me how to open the disc drive on the alienware17x? i just got it yesterday, different then my old lappy

    If you mean the optical drive, depress the Eject button on the touch strip - top right of the system (above the keyboard).

    you can also open up the 'Computer' link in the start menu and right click on the optical drive and select Eject from the context menu.

    Keep in mind, the optical drive used in the 17x is a slot load drive. Meaning, its not going to open up - a tray is not going to slide out.

    you ca do that with 2 ways
    1/ right click on optical drive and choose eject

    2/ press eject (it's locate above number pad, far left of alienware command center)
