I just noticed that the plastic on the corners of the lcd area have been peeled off. I am using an alienware vindicator bag but i don't know why the plastic has chipped off. There have been no collisions with anything. What should i do? Contact dell about it? And what should i do in the meantime?

Unfortunately that will likely be considered a cosmetic issue and would not be covered by the regular hardware warranty. Please consider that this may vary depending on your country.
