    Alienware splash screen

    Chaps,

    Just got my M17X today. Couple of things i hope you can help with.

    First, how do i get the Alienware Splash/logon screen
    Second, How do i know if i have an R1 or R2

    Yes i do mean the Laptop in my Sig, so as it's an i7 must be a R2 then right.

    Any idea on the splash / logon screen.

    Click on my link. Some registry editing is necessary, but after that you can use anything you want as your background.

    Splash Screen sorted TurbodTalon, i did not see your link in the first reply :)

    Ye 400GB HD. I got a returned Dell unit from a reseller. Saved approx $1500, I can upgrade the drive at a later date along with the RAM. CPU and GPU, there what i needed to get right from the offset.

    Any hints and tips for me chaps. I am currently running the A03 Bios, is it worth updating and if so to what
