    I could have sworn only the M18x was in an aluminum case. On Dells website

    Alienware M17x With Optional 3D Laptop Screen Details | Dell

    the lowest price point states:

    Mobile Powerhouse
    With mind-blowing graphics, intense speed, all armored in an anondized aluminium shell

    is this new? or have I completely gone off the deep end?
