That's virtually impossible. The m290X is the 8970m is the 7970m. I find it highly unlikely that one wouldn't be able to install the driver, even if you need to trick the .inf files.

I've told them that. They seem to always troll about it not supporting it.

I prefer it to be officially supported rather than having to edit an inf file to trick the drivers.

EDIT: since I don't have an amd GPU there's no point in me complaining so I MA outta here.

From what i see, even the 780M needs tweaks to work good in a M17??

The 290 possibly should not be so close without mantle.
I also guess you dont have AMD or has ever considered buying one?
From last upgrade it was at least one in here trying the new drivers, did not mention about tweaks

BTW still no mantle in my crossfire on BF4.
Noone else with M17r2 apparently have tested this.
For others the crossfire already works in mantle. (M18's with same GPU's)
Could be my computer, could be a M17R2 issue.

I'm not sure what you mean by official it is a rebrand. It already exists?

technically yes, but no at the same time as i always look at the release notes for the drivers to see if they (AMD) have added support for it. why should i have to add the support when it's AMD's job to do so.
