Anti-glare / matte / any kind of screen protector to reduce the glossyness of m17x?

Simply put - i'll be using the m17x in brightly lit places (mostly common rooms in university, where the lights are always on) , my eyes are sensitive to light anyway, so i usually have brightness set low, but when i watch movies and stuff i keep it on high. i wear glasses, used to live in UAE so my eyes have literally shrunk to adjust to the constant sunlight, i'm in Canada now and it's even brighter here during the day T_T

Need a screen protector that's going to hopefully reduce the gloss on the alienware screen, and preferably something that'd make the screen a matte finish (or like, a privacy screen protector the way phones have)

I'll mainly be playing gw2, watching movies and writing ridiculously long research papers.

I was going to order the $50 dell screen protector but after the reviews I've read on how it's not so great, hard to put on and the $50 pricetag. i thought it isn't worth it.

There should be. Not that I can recommend though. Maybe another user can give us a hand here :) Let's see.

Every review I've read has led me to believe your best bet is to just find the best angle or location in the room, and live with the glossyness. The matte films might make it less glossy but they also reduce the clarity apparently

I waited almost 2 year to purchase a alienware because of glossy screen.
By me, glossy screen is biggest minus for AW. :(
And when asus has failed with thir support (had asus G models)I decided, though, to give a chance to alienware and glossy screen, but I hope in the future, AW will change that glossy screen..

You talking about Green Onions anti glare protection?
