Any Body Else getting Poor Performance in Medal Of Honor?

In Single Player I have to Crank it down to 720P on Medium just to get my 60FPS. & ussually it will still dip into the high 40's.
(Havent Tested MP yet as you have to unlock levels in SP to make them available in MP...

This Compared to BFBC2 where I get 60FPS @ 1920x1200 Cranked all The Way Up.

I played the beta on steam and I had the same result real low FPS so I deleted the game, I'd rather play BFBC2 anyway.

 

I am getting much worse performance in MoH than in BFBC2 also.

 

i had the same problem in MoH on Steam i have 5870xfire and i was getting about 20-25 fps and i turned off xfire and then i was getting between 45-50 fps must be something with the ATI Drivers and MoH

 

It's because there are currently no drivers out for mobility versions of ATI cards that supports games that new, as 10.9 wasn't released for notebooks. 10.10 would fix your issues when it is released.

I've been playing it for the last couple of days. Pretty fun. My mates already finished it lol. It is really short though

I've maxed out all the settings to the highest in the video menu AA on all High settings and 1920 X 1200p of course. It runs really well. Not really taxing it seems. My GPU fans don't run full bore with this game like it does with other games. I've also noticed that the games FPS might be capped at around 62 - 63fps.

I am normally stable and constantly running it at 62fps. It does dip down to like 30 odd sometimes though for very short few secs and rises up again to the 40s and 50s. However it mainly stays at 62fps for most of the time. Plays very smooth and seems to run much easier than other games. I'm using FRAPs just to guage the games fps.

Also I've tried running the game on both my systems (Specs in my Sig) and theres no real difference. Both perform flawlessly with this particular game. Very sharp movement and smooth.

However yeh there still isn't any new driver from AMD for like 2 months now. SHocking stuffs lol. So many new games have come out since then and I'm still waiting for better support and performance for FIFA 11. It would be interesting to see also how much better the FPS can get in MOH Tier 1. However I still believe it is capped at 62fps. I'm also running with Vsync off as I do all my games.

CMON AMD where are my 10.10s. ????????????????????????????????????????????...................................

ATI released a profile specifically for MOH today.

a guy on the anandtech forum said it more than doubled his framerates.

funny casue I have no issues running MoH: Tier 1 on my comp. Everything runs high as hell... better than BFBC 2 as a matter of fact...

 

Whats your FPS max out or run at? FRAPS?

I also have no problems and agree it does run better and much less taxing compared to Kompany 2. Super smooth. Doesn't feel like a very taxing game to me to be honest. I still reckon its capped at 62 - 63fps though. Unless you guys are getting higher FPS now?

I can't seem to install punkbuster. It errors out saying it cannot copy pbsvc_moh.exe to my system32 folder. I have BFBC2 with Punkbuster installed. Would this cause a problem installing PB for MOH? Should I uninstall PB from BFBC2 and if I do, will I not be able to play BFBC2 online anymore?

 

Yeh try uninstalling the other or updating it perhaps chiefs.

Okay I just tried Taliban Tier 1 again with the new APP profiles and no difference. Then again it was already performing very well and smoother beforehand as well.

Crazy in Multi Player I get Blistering Frame Rates of 60-62 FPS with Everything Cranked up to Maximum @ 1920x1200.

But in Single Player I get 24-30 FPS with the Same Settings...

 

mine everything maxed out with AA and V-sync, always stay at 60fps and no less than 40fps once in a while. using latest app profile

 

I've had(and probably still have) some bad performance issues with my machine in MoH. Same spec as Reborn2003, but with a 720qm instead of 740qm. I disabled crossfire and it was running much better! try that out if you're having problems while running crossfire

Edit - I haven't tried out the MoH profile yet, as I don't have MoH. I played the beta

I get the same performance on SP and MP with everything maxed out. Not sure what issue you might be having...

I am sure the 10.10 mobility will fix alot of things for us especially since the new VBIOS allow us to use the drivers directly from AMD without having to really tweak anything (correct me if I am wrong)

 

I don't know if anyone notices but playing MP, I get the same screen blackouts like on BC2 but only few a seconds. Other than that, the game runs more smooth than BC2.

 

Yup, I get the same thing lol... lets just hope I don't get the famous CTDs like I do in BFBC2

 

try the new catalyst Application Profiles patch and see if it makes a difference:

Sometimes I get a serious FPS drop from 60+ to 15 for 1-2 sec and then it resumes. I don't know whats the matter or if I need SLI profile update which has MOH added in near future?

Whatever patch EA released today now gives me texture flickering in MP. GG

 

They used 2 different game engines for SP and MP, this could be why.

 

This +1 I am getting same thing. & 60+ Frame Rates Now that I installed 10.9a
dont know why the blk flickering...
maybe I'll Try the Bet 10.10 next

 

I thought that might have something to do with it but havent played much SP lately... that would also explain why it is only 720P & not 1080P support for the console versions also. they had issues optimizing frame rate? or maybe they just ported it over from console....boooo.

 

I would try throttlestop if I were you. it's probaly your CPU throttling back

Can you you apply the profiles if you are using the latest Dell drivers and the new Vbios? How would I go about applying the profiles? Someone hold my hand and tell my I'm pretty!

 

Yes you can but some people say it might hurt performance . All you have to do is download and run it the wizard will guide you through the rest

When I had mr R1 it (throttlestop) was the only way I could use my machine properly . I would get the exact same symptoms as you reported 60+ frames them boom 4 frames per second , it would climb back up then rinse and repeat . But once I found throttlestop used it never looked back Definetley nominee for program of the year thanks uncleweb

Well MP stinks and I'm going back to BC2. It's too easy to die from one shot, especially by a pistol or a shotgun 200 yards away.

I noticed a lot of flaws and NPCs getting stuck in the world... lame...

 

Looks that the guys from DICE were in such a hurry to release the game that they forgot to test it, lol. What a shame, not to mention the crappy campaign.

I am having the same problem, if i disable crossfire it all works perfectly. Makes me wonder sometimes why i bought the 2nd one

Do we have to wait for Dell to issue an update for the cards or whats the score, only had the alienware laptop for 8 days and dont want to knacker it up just yet by installing duff drivers
