Well, as the title states, I've gotten a white screen of death a few times.

Anyone know what this generally means?

So far i have 8 beeps and...5 sometimes...

Dell claims its a ram failure o_O

That happened to my M18x (changing beep patterns at boot... sometimes 8 beeps, sometimes 5, sometimes 4) and replacing the motherboard and LCD cable was what they did to fix it.

I got the same issue with this new mobo, they sent me a new CMOS battery since the mobo bios kept resetting, but so far it still has the same issue If I Shut it off and leave it unplugged from the wall. I have yet to call them back and ask for a replacement mobo because I don't have the time to send this thing back to the depot again atm. :(

Edit: I don't get the Whitescreen, Just a black one while the system tries to post and fails

Yeah, my screen never turned white. I've never seen that before... just the beeps.

Unfortunately, i am forced to send it to the depot later today.

In an odd twist however, if there is another issue, Dell said they would have to look at replacing it.

I wonder if the a09 bios couldbe a possible culprit?
