that's pretty sick, won't you need the m18x power supply for this to work?

Desktops I can understand. Have a friend who has 3 nvidia quadro's sli'd, with
32 screens and 2000 psu unit.

But laptops? I could imagine the psu for the laptop crying in pain.

lol, Hence the reason we are exploring the option of running dual 240W PSU's in parallel, credit goes to aarpcard. So we can haz moar poooower! And haz moar benching!

It's still a lot cheaper than running a desktop with a 800 or 1000watt PSU.

What you are stating here isn't possible. Each quadro is capable of either 4 or 8 screens which would be a maximum of 24.

thanks for saying it, I never managed 4 per quadro to work properly. but it CAN be done with a craplaoad of USB video cards to run as final displays. I myself run Matrox Triplehead to Go's in conjunction with my Quadros and Fire Pros in both laptops and desktops

Alright all you hi-jackers, back to the OP! Kidding....

But I was hoping that a few people who I suspect that have ordered their 6990Ms would have hopefully chimed in on their progress...

I'm not sure how many he had to be honest. Though he had 32 screens for sure.

I know you can 3way sli...can you do more than that?
