Yes, I beat you to it by about 8 months.

Turn it on its side and gently use a paperclip to guide it out....

Reminds me of those stories you here from tech support about people jamming 2 or 3 floppies into a single floppy drive

Glad you worked it out though ;)

    Hlariousssss.

Now, I have a better question for y'all. What happens when a dvd or cd gets stuck in the drive? In the oldschool pop out drives, you can stick a pen, a needle, or paper clip in the little hole to "eject" it manually. But how about now?

Slot load drives are pretty much as old school as tray load ones but the first ones are better when in this situation.

To answer your question, you can use two phone/credit cards to pull it out, if all else fails (eject button etc..) you'll have to take the drive out and you'll have to open the top to free your disk.

Dang, complicated. Good thing I don't use any discs. The only one I've used since purchase was the installation disc for SC2.

I'm so dumb I didn't know I misread the thread entirely until now! I initially thought the CD was just stuck in the CD drive. After reading it again today I see the problem lol This is just too funny :) I only the card reader when I download pictures from my camera but usually peek to the side to make sure I insert the SD card in the right location :D

    Just too funny,

I did the same thing on my R2 - and it wasn't early, so I couldn't use that excuse.

Same happened to me, i've let it sit there for about a year, and now i jammed a CD inside there aswell. (The W7 Install DVD..Lol)

And well, it won't eject the CD.. And i've tried to get a hold of it with a pair of forceps, but i think i just jammed it inside there even worse..No shaky-sound from it at least.

    Any tip??

In fact, it looks like my DVD drive is squeezed together in the middle, almost seems like the chassis is broken.

Hahaha, wow this thread gets better and better :p Now we have an SD card and a disk jammed in? :D :p

inzelux, you might have to disassemble the drive to get that stuff out. are both the card and the disk in the drive? Or just a disk? Did you forget the card was in there?
