Happens to me now every now and then after moving to win8.1.
Never happened in win7.

Have tried some different stuff found on the net but no go this far.
Blaming overclock etc. I currently underclock the cards and still this error.
Older drivers also get me this. (used this and previous driver under win7 with no prob)
Ive also read that this happens to NVIDIA cards.
Just wondering if anyone else has seen this, and perhaps made a change for the better?

I didn't have any problems the last time I tried out Windows 8 but I honestly didn't stick with it for that long. The only thing I can think of trying is installing direct x from the BF4/Installer directory....this was a common performance fix for a bunch of people awhile back when the game was running like crap. If that does not work and cleaning the drivers isn't helping...I have no other ideas....maybe try disabling the sound? see if it still does it? Have you tried it with mantel support on?
-
Ive now got it running.
But donno for how long.
Did go way back on drivers to make it happen: 14.2.
Have done the directX "fix" before this. No help.
This seems to be more of a win8 problem for me at least since this was no problem in win7.
When it comes to mantle, i cant get it running on my 7970M's in crossfire in BF4. Only primary GPU does work after I enable mantle. (seen by temperature and drop in FPS)
Dont know if there are any tweaks that needs to be done to make it work.....
EDIT:
After playing for a while. Downgrading to 14.2 is not doing the trick.
Still get the same error. -

Click the errormessage in the first post as a picture, its part of the screendump.
Game stops and that text appears.
Can off course make dumps of the error with other drivers too.
Anyone else have directX error on BF4 while playing?
