I upgraded my AW 17 to the new A07 and it now runs quite a bit hotter than it used to so I was thinking about downgrading, however Dell no longer has a download for the A06 bios.

    So anyone here have it?

    Thanks!

The A06 was never officially released. Only a few people who ordered their systems during a few weeks in November got this BIOS. We don't know why. It was weird.

A07 makes your pc run hotter? Or the fans seem louder/more active? There's a big difference. A07 for me seems to have altered the cooling, but in a good way. The fans seem more responsive.

Ditto....mine actually seems to run better and has the fans kicking in a little less often, and when they do they are not ramping up as high. Temps have not changed for me at all.

Weird. The area below my gpu is noticeably hotter after flashing A07 and my system is overall quieter. Temps are about 5-10 degrees more than they used to be (3dmark before on the fire strike test gave me 68, now its 75 for example). Granted it's not a massive difference and I'm still well within thermal limits but was just weird so I guess they must have modified the fan settings.

I guess I could try reflashing it and re-installing the drivers to see if that changes anything.

One benefit of A07 though is my scores went up. A06 gave me 4700-4800, A07 gives me 5100-5200. Stock clocks and vbios.

Yup, it isn't available on the website. I would recommend you to stay with the A07 until a new release comes out.
