    hello everyone,

I am looking for a step by step guide on how to remove the optical drive from the M17xR3. I have found a website that is selling the Panasonic UJ235A slot load blu ray burner for cheap, and so I am looking to replace my drive with the Panasonic one.

However i don't want to go in blindly and would really appreciate a how to video or a step by step written guide on how to go about accessing and removing the old drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I thank you all in advance for your help.

thanks d. brutus for the quick reply. I have looked at and that is my last resort, because I know some people have done this before, and I was hoping they either took a video or something, because then I know exactly what to expect seeing that they have done it already.

You pretty much have to take the whole thing apart in order to replace the optical drive.
