in the end u can build a monster desktop for the price u pay for the m17x however u cant bring that with u

so its either portable and decent gfx or static and epic gfx

cod black ops completely maxed out = keeps at the max locked fps of 91 ( although u can change the fps limit but cba at the time ;p ), although some odd annoying freezes here n there might be cause by having a monitor hooked up to me laptop on the side as i got a tad higher fps on arma II without it connected. weird lol.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 : @ dx 11 and max settings it ran fairly stable at about 80 odd fps. With bf3 running on a wee bit newer version of the frostbite engine ( 2.0 instead of 1.5 like bfbc2 ) it might run at a tad lower fps however with bf3 being mainly designed for pc's it will be better optimised.
BFBC2 was basicly a pure console port.

oh and league of legends runs 100fps no sweat aswell but i dont think anybody was worried about that game not runnin smooth ;p

havnt tested any other games yet but if somebody wants to know how well their game runs on the m17x before buying one drop me a line i dont mind testing stuff out for yas.

 

try maxing arma to very high with 4x aa and 4x af with post pro to off and shadows to normal and view distance to about 5000 and see what you get running around through forrests and towns

Upadate lads I've orderd a load of parts to build a desktop I did want the laptop but it was playing on my mind about GFX performance so I orderd a I5 2500 with a 1.5 GB GTX580, a velociraptor 10000 rpm HDD and a thermatake Level 10 Gt and all the other parts to go with it plus a dell 21" touchscreen

 

u got the 2500k ? as thats the one u can overclock,

sounds like u made the best choice for yourself

 

Yes the 2500k don't think I'll bother with overclock though orderd yesterday and parts are on way to my house now so should be built by tonight if all goes well I can't wait how's yours going you tried any more testing yet

 

been a bit busy but i'll try later on, regarding the overclocking just because your not plannin to do now u can always have the option in the future wich is always nice. saves u having to buy a new cpu.

im gonna try to overclock the card a lil bit, although ive got to flash the bios for that if im correct.

that should boost performance a tad
