    Audio Distortion When Pressing Eject Button

    when pressing the eject button on the touch panel, while playing any audio (youtube videos, mp3, audobook in itunes) the audio will distort similar to the sound distortion from The Matrix when Neo is jacked-out of the matrix for the first time and the liquid-mirror crap goes down his throat.

    pressing the eject button repeatedly after that doesn't produce any more distortions until you leave it alone for more than a minute.

    alienware tech (and his supervisor and engineers he asked) said that the issue is "normal" and he was able to reproduce it on an m17x he has there on the floor. The crazy thing is, my old m17x, the one being replaced, never had this issue.

    can someone please play some audio (spoken word like an audiobook works best) and press the eject button while it is playing.

    This is a known issue for both R1 and R2, it has been mentioned on the DPC latency thread, no need for a new thread
