    BIOS Problem HELP!

    Using the unlocked A08 bios I was trying to disable the integrated card. It worked fine, but when I went to reenable it I changed the setting: default display device. I'm not sure of the exact setting name, but I changed it to Auto from PCI it was something else before PCI though. Now when I start up my Alienware the fans just speed up and slow down the whole time and it doesn't boot. I am trying to do the bios repair method (holding end with recovery bios on flash drive) but thats not working either! Does anyone know how to a) default the bios settings OR b) get the bios recovery to work? I also tried removing the bios battery that didn't work either.

    I was following the directions in your thread to the letter. I didnt want to have to do what Cheflo did but in the end this is how I was able to get it to flash:


    Except my card is the 6990m not an nvidia.
