Sometimes after typing I would backspace or delete the line to retype. the cursor would then move to the left ( my left ) most end of the box. However when I start typing again the first letter gets highlighted and keep changing at the same spot based on what I am typing rather than progressing left to right.

I will have to refresh or sometimes backspace again to make this glitch go away. I dont have any other perceivable keyboard issues.

Has anyone face this issue, any work around?

It doesn't sound like a keyboard issue. The most similar situation I've experienced was once that I didn't even notice I was sliding my finger through the touchpad while writing and so it would take me back to wherever I had the cursor over :/ (i know it sounds even worse when I say it haha)

If it doesn't happen in any other browser or program i'd go for a chrome reinstallation

This is the first thing I thought. Sounds like you are inadvertently touching the touch pad.
