I had the default dell drivers, and I got 60-70 fps in Bad Company 2 with all high 2x AA 4x AF no HBAO. Today, I tried the beta 10.7, rebooted, started BC2, and i only had ~30fps and I saw on GPU-Z that only 60% of my first GPU and 20% of my second were being used. So, I uninstalled 10.7 and reinstalled the dell drivers. I started up BC2 after a reboot and I only had 20fps!! Turns out, it's only using 20% of my i7 720qm!!! I can't get it to use my processor to it's full extent..... I'm trying the"actual" 10.7s now, I hope it lets my computer use it's freaking processor.....

Okay, now I am very concerned. Upon installation of 10.7, after the reboot, it boots to a black screen, no mouse no nothing, and I had to do a system restore. Please, I am imploring SOMEONE to help me :(

But should the problem persist after I remove the problem driver?

It seems there is no problem with it. Mostly on how people installed the driver. The best is a fresh install of windows before installing this driver and everything will work fine. Remember to also choose the game profile to make it better.

So you are saying I should do a clean windows install?

That is just way overboard for a driver install... And it didn't work for me.

So I have to completely start over because of one driver? Perhaps if I tried driver sweeper? I don't have access right now, but I will try as soon as I land.

Ive already tried for you(twice), and soon I'm sure others will too. Reinstalling windows will not fix the problem
