    I seriously can't work around this problem. I tried every driver. Ever since I got these 5870's I couldn't get this game to run smooth. I average around 20-40fps with crossfire on and off. If I turn xfire off it seems to run a tad better. I tried a series of different drivers and I am currents on the 11.4(preview) driver.

    All my graphics in the game is on medium with AA off and CC is on performance mode. Stealth mode is off.

    Anyone have any idea?

    Mine works great with 11.3 and the Rage caps, have you tried those?

    Try turning HBAO off (in game). Its not perfected yet and draws a ton for marginal gain (you should get at least 10fps more).

    How was the performance of the game prior to the 5870's? I had dual 4870s and the i5-520 in my initial rig and was not getting the same performance(45 to 50 FPS,High settings no AA)now with my current rig in the signature for this particular game for example:60fps, MSAA x2,DX11. It was only when I upgraded my CPU(920xm) that it boosted my frames to 60ish area and that was with the initial 4870s.

    It seems like it's easy to get into a bad performance state with BF:BC2. I'm not sure what causes it, but it is possible to get good frame rates in the game at high detail settings.

    I'm running the 11.2 drivers with the 11.2 CAP2 package, and BF:BC2 is working fine for me on high detail. I'm not sure quite what the frame rates are, but they're smooth enough to play without any difficulties.

    Open up your "My Documents\BFBC2\settings.ini" file and have a look at what the settings in it are. Here's how mine looks, as a comparison:
    Code:
    [WindowSettings]
    Width=1920
    Height=1200
    Fullscreen=true
    RefreshRate=60
    VSync=false
    [Sound]
    Quality=high
    VoipEnable=true
    SpeakerCount=0
    [Graphics]
    Effects=high
    Soldiers=high
    Vehicles=high
    Overgrowth=high
    Undergrowth=high
    StaticObjects=high
    Terrain=high
    Shadows=high
    Bloom=true
    HSAO=false
    MSAA=1
    Water=high
    MainQuality=custom
    Texture=high
    DxVersion=11
    Aniso=3
    Detail=high
    RenderAheadLimit=2
    Fov=75

    As was mentioned above, HSAO causes a huge drop in performance. It doesn't seem to do too much to graphics detail, so there's no problem turning it off. You can also turn AA right down, as the small pixel size on the RGB-LED screen help to reduce the appearance of jaggies without any AA help.

    Do you have your field of view on 55, did you try turning off bloom, i would have flickering and frame issues when this feature was on. I know it runs excellent on 5870s more so than it did with my old 4870s. When i got my 5870s in my rig I completely removed all drivers and fragments with ccleaner so it might be that too, hope you get this going i love playing this game and the vietnam maps are really cool good luck to you.

    Rage3D always has the latest CAPs. I think that they're posted here first, then put onto the official ATI/AMD site afterwards.
