I am having an issue with my M17x-R2 where it appears my battery is not charging. Is there something I accidently toggled off to keep it from charging?

When I hover over the battery icon in the system tray I get the message "0% available (plugged in, not Charging)". I cannot start my Laptop without it plugged in.

    Any advice?

    Thanks in advance,

    Steven

Mine does this sometimes as well....what I do is turn the computer on...plugged in with the battery in...check the battery icon. While on the desktop when it says plugged in/not charging tilt the computer to it's side, pop out the battery, wait 10 seconds & then put it back in. It SHOULD now say charging. This works for me everytime. Hopefully it will work for you as well!

If this does not work try the famous power drain...take out the battery, unplug the ac adapter & hold the power button down for about 10 seconds.

Thanks that worked. People also said to press fn+f2 but that does nothing.

when you press fn+f2 you need to choose the grey-white battery icon and then wait for 5-10 seconds for it to start charging. if you keep cycling through the modes of fn+f2 without giving it the opportunity to start you won't see it start charging.

Do you have OSD installed? If not, install it and you will see the battery popup fractal mentioned.

Might want to uninstall it. Re-download the current version for the support site. You should be seeing a pop-up. If you are not, something is going on with OSD.
