    Hiya

I normally use my M17x R2 as desktop replacement and it is continuously on power supply. If I remove the battery from the laptop and keep it separate, would it be better rather than leaving it in?

    Thanks

Hi, I have researched (googled) this topic a few times and each time it was shown to not matter much. Lithium Ion batteries that these use does not build up a recharge memory that neeeds to be drained like a nicad or other battery. They also have a shelf life so either way should last about the same. For example if you order a "new" lithium ion battery that has been on the shelf 5 years unused it will probably not work too well. I always leave mine in...

This is correct, lithium ion batteries will actually last longer if charged constantly. It´s actually recommended to always have the charge percentage above 60%.
