Hi, i just bought a new Alienware M17X R5 i7-4700MQ, 1920x1080p, windows 7 home premium 64 bit, 8gb ddr3L, 2gb nvidia geforce gtx765m with 750gb hd... its my first gaming laptop and i have chosen alienware...
Not much knowledge in tweaking the system...

My question is, is it advisable to remove the battery and only use AC adapter for daily use in gaming and everyday web browse?
Since the unit is only stationary at one corner in our living room...

Thanks for whatever comments, advise or recommendations you will reply...

I wouldn't do that. I find my power cord gets nudged enough that the cord comes out of the power brick sometimes. If I was doing anything important, that would really suck without backup battery.

Not only that but your battery is integrated under the bottom panel, not that it is hard to get to but no reason really. The new systems also have a trickle charge system implemented, they take longer to charge ( You can disable this in the bios) but it is supposed to prolong battery life. It is a little early to know if it will help but time will tell.

The battery does not accept charge beyond 100%. Once it is fully charged, the adapter takes over. You don't have to worry about leaving it plugged in all day.
