Using BatteryBar Pro, I measured the battery usage of my system in "power saving" mode (IGP only):

My base power usage is around 15W using an external monitor (LCD off) with the CPU at idle (800Mhz), SSD + Momentus XT, WIFI and bluetooth off.

With the LCD on, the additional power is between 3W - 6W depending on brightness. Wifi doesn't seem to use much power when idle. But, when streaming Netflix, it uses around 2W.

So, watching netflix with LCD at minimal brightness seems to use about 20W. This means with a 90W battery, I can get close to 4.5 hours but in reality around 4 hours because I don't let the battery run down to 0%.

Since I often use a projector with the LCD off, I can easily achieve 5+ hours as shown in the first picture that shows my discharge averaging around 16.8W. (The picture actually shows the battery draining from 100% down to 20% in 4:22 after which the remaining 20% is estimated based on remaining battery power.)

Finally, the system can charge from empty to 100% full in just 2 hours as shown in the second picture. (The picture actually shows the battery charging from 20% to 100% in 1:45 with the 0 to 20% estimated so that the total time would be just over 2 hours.)

If you run your screen at 50% brightness and are just surfing the internet with your WIFI on of course, how many hours can you average on a full charge? 4 hours I guess?

Also what about leaving your computer in sleep mode? How long can it sleep for?

A little over 4 hours. 50% brightness at idle is just under 20W.

    I haven't measured sleep.
