Just letting yall know I was invited to their multiplayer beta to test and help fix glitches and bugs. I will let you know how it plays, with limited details. I wont be showing any vids or pics but give a brief summary on how it plays. Gameplay is not final product!

I would love to hear what FPS people are getting and at what settings and res.
-
Can you run it at 1080P with 1xAA, 1xAF, HBAO off and everything else maxed out? Please let me know what kind of frame rates you are getting. Thanks.
-
I know its night over in the U.S. so when yall wake up in the morning I should have something up. -
WOW!!! I just played for about 45mins and its amazing! It's alot like Battlefield Bad Company 2. I was playing RUSH (attack and defend) and it runs smooth and the graphics are fantastic. I had it on High settings and 1080p and ran 30-45fps. Pretty impressed with it.

It's a mix between CoD and Battlefield BC2 online. You can take the slow tactical approach but its faster paste and smoother than BC2 but more realistic than CoD. Just hoping there is a hardcore mode like in BC2. It's alittle hard to kill someone.

Have installed on my R3. Runs max settings, (all I can figure out how to change is "detail" and resolution)
Runs great on my R3 w/6870, 16gb 2620 and an SSD.
Looks pretty too. -
Anyone tested it on M17x R2?
Would be great to see whether it optimizes CrossfireX or not. -
If you'll find the time, could you test which settings are needed to get constant 60 frames? I'm really looking forward to get my hands on the final product!
-
what;s your orgin id? i just got it too and am installing it now. im on an R1, hope it runs good for me too.

Do any of you guys get an error message just before loading the rush level from EA that nvidia drivers 275.33 or higher are recommended?
I also noticed that changing the options graphics settings in game do not change my FRAPS numbers. Perhaps after restarting the game again... -
where can we sign up for the alpha?
-
-
Dell get your crap together and update your 460 drivers! -
-
I'm hoping they have a campaign beta to try because thats where the real graphic details gonna be. They arent going to put alot of detail in multiplayer because they want it to run smooth for online play so i'm sure the single player will be more demanding.

On my M17x-R1 (QX9300, 8gb DDR3 RAM, SLI GeForce GTX 280Ms) I can run on medium at 30-50fps, putting on high ruins frame rate. That's also with a modded vid-settings file that reduces AA and a few other things - though I need to download the newer alpha client that supposedly fixed a bunch of things and optimized a little better, still.
Though, I think my cards are a little fried or something...
Edit: 280.19 Beta Drivers -
you just had to have been a bf series player and sign up for their newsletter. i think they wanted people who have been playing the other titles so they could spot issues or differences. the alpha was already going on for about a week when i found out. all i did was login to the bf3 forum site and sign up for the newletter, then 4 hours later i got the invite.
played on my m17x r2 4870 i7 720 and it played like crap at first. it stayed in browser mode, with the small screen i was getting about 35 fps in low. when i enlarge the screen it went to 17 fps. only on the last day of alpha testing was i able to go to full screen in game and the fps jumped to 55 fps. damn, i only got to play for 1 hours with the game running smooth. can't wait for the beta. (closed or open). -
Alpha is now closed. Confirmed?
-
well... i can;'t get mine to come up... this sucks.
-
Wish we got an email saying "You were awesome alpha testers who get free closed betas!"
:\ -
I guess we got what we paided for then.
They should have posted a message that the Alpha had ended and left a link up to leave game feedback for those that tried signed in. -
There was this:
EA Forums
Can't really post feedback on it though.
There were plenty of feedback posts on the alpha forums before they took them down, anyways.
