    Battlefield 3 screen flashes black when killed????

    Hi

    Just wondering if anyone has come accross this before whilst playing bf3 on an m17x r4 with an amd 7970 gc.

    I'm running the latest beta 4 drivers...

    When I get killed in bf3 the screen flashes completely black everytime I get killed... It's doing my head in, and seem like a very strange problem...

    Any advice is always welcome

    yup, that's the way it is. Battlefield 3 is one of the game that support Alien FX since the july patch if i'm not mistaken. You start the game with the white color, and if you've been hit, the color will change to red. and goes to orange during respawn or loading screen.....

    I have this black screen issue upon death when I play BF3 on my TV at 1080p and later switch to playing on native screen at 900p. What fixes the issue for me is changing a video setting. I just change the field on view by one value, and save the change. I will later change it back my preference. I have had this issue when I had my 5870m CF set up, and still happens with my 7970m under the conditions above. I dont know what causes it but the video setting change resolves the issue every single time. Hope that helps.

    check your refresh rate setting in the game. Does it flash when you enlarge the map?
