    Hi all,

As you all know at present AMD (ATI) haver released alot of new drivers to improve performance etc and recently every Dell has release a beta driver. At present i have dual 4870 cards and have tried version 10.8 which gave me issues with games, what would be the best drive to install, i was thinking 10.7 which i have not tried?

Also, what would be the best setup for the HD's RAID or not? how much preformance increase woould there be.

Kane and Lynch had purple lines on the screen and call of duty did not look clear. I deinstalled back to 10.5 and all worked.

Just checked COD4 and it looks excellent.
Might be something on your end.

If you plan to play Starcraft you better find a way to install 10.7 and up ;)

The only other option is i do a clean install with 10.8 with the ATI profiler tool which will need customisation as they are steam games. What do you think?

I will try a clean install, Is it recommended to have the disc in a RAID0 array or separate?

clean install is a little radical imho but it'll work :)
I used ATI 10.8 drivers, not Dell's, not sure which one you used.

As for the RAID array, it's up to you, it improves speeds a little but it also introduces quite a few issues, are you aware of them ?

Yeah, i am aware, was just wondering what everyone else is running and how much better ther performance is, as for the clean install, i think it is about time anyway. But will be creating a backup image after.

I have had poorer performance with 10.8 compared to 10.7/10.6/10.5 even though 10.8 does improve performance in Far Cry 2 3-8 % for single-XF.
