    Hi guys,

I want to figure out what is the best setup for the SSD's/HDD's in a M17 R4.

I currently own a mSata 512GB Crucial m500 SSD, i have a Samsung 830 2.5" SSD as my boot drive and 1TB Toshiba drive.

The mSata has a SATA II port hence only runs at 3GBps. The boot SSD(samsung 830) runs at full speed and the toshiba drive performs at full capacity. Nothing is setup as cache or Raid. Except wheni formatted i set it up as Raid 0 so if i ever wanted to move to Raid i would not need to do a full format.

Do you guys think i should change anything around ? or is this the best possible setup ?

    thank you.

Your current setup is the best option. We only have two Sata III 6Gb/s ports in R4, so OS drive should be plugged into one of them to operate at full speed. Msata SSD could be used for games installation (if they do not fit on the main SSD) and all the software can be installed in your main SSD for maximum performance. The only way to increase the speed of the system would be to swap your main SSD for a faster one. But the speed increase would mostly be seen only if benchmarked as your current drive is already pretty fast.
