I got my M17x R3 in May and am looking to sell it. I was hoping someone here could help me figure out the best place to do it. It's in perfect condition and I'd like to find someone who knows their stuff and will pay a respectable amount. The masses typically don't know the worth of a machine like this.

I love this laptop so much, but unfortunately I originally bought it to edit video and if I want to open myself to more work, its time for me to switch to a Macbook Pro and learn Final Cut in addition to Premiere Pro.

    Any thoughts?

Search ebay to get a rough estimate of what to expect, price wise. Theres a Selling and trading forum on here also, maybe worth a look.

Luckily, your average Joe ( :D ) has no idea these sytems exsist and will rarely even think about parting with such large sums for a Laptop. you'll more then likely find people who are tech savey and looking for a good deal will be sniffing around.

If it where me, i'd post up on the selling forum here and i'd also put it on ebay (with a reserve price, obviously)

Not having any dealings with 2nd hand Alienware's, i'd expect to fetch atleast £1400/£1500 or even £1600 for your system. Not sure if that is optimistic or not.

NBR has a marketplace. I wouldn't pay more than 1000 for a used machine :) But that's just me :)

I have had luck on here in the NBR Marketplace
Ebay has worked well for me also (watch fees as they can add up)
