So, today i got both my 5870's swapped for new ones by dell technician.

Afaik the latest bios (A-01) from dell is 012.020.000.027.037640 (dated 2010/05/13) as per GPU-z, is that correct?

well on gpu-z my bios v. is 012.020.000.029.037460, bios date is 2010/05/18 (as per CCC also)

can someone please have a look either with gpu-z or CCC and confirm this?

i'm on 10.11 with cap2 and the lap is running as a champ.

Looks like my bios is 5 days newer than first release of A-01?!? how come?

Reference this post from the 8.763 driver / VBIOS sticky - if your system is running 'like a champ', why worry about it? As long as you aren't having compatibility or stability issues which are known to be resolved with the current 5870 VBIOS patch (again, reference sticky), then don't worry about it.

Could it be possible for you to upload a copy of your new Firmware?(Using GPU-Z or Radeon Bios editor)

I had got my laptop just a few days back and i had flashed with a0-1 for repairing the sleep issue but turned out something else was causing the problem.

Just 48Kb ? It must be around 2mb or something. Afaik, the flashing tool's bios was around 2mb. Could you dump it from Rabit or any newer tool from DOS ?

    Thanks.
