Hey guys.. I was just wondering if others were having similar problems as me playing black ops..

Im using ATI 5870 cfx and dell provided driver..

while playing the game.. I get 60 fps at max without using CFX.. however occasionally the game freezes or crashes.. no idea why :S

however, with CFX turned on I get 30 fps at most.. kinda expect using 2 cards to be btr than one @_@...

Black ops is a horribly coded game, and very inconsistent. Which is why I'm not surprised I don't also have that problem. Either enabled CFX or disabled, I get extremely stuttery framerates, fluctuating from 30 to the maximum allowed at 91. Also, the menu freezes for a couple seconds every time it comes up. And the menu runs at 45 fps. Yeah, and even the latest patch didn't do anything. The worst however, is that with only not hardcore and not empty selected, I only get 40-60 servers displayed. And if I try the auto ranked match, it usually puts me in a server in Europe, resulting in a ping of a couple hundred.

EDIT: Sorry for the dissertation, I hadn't realized I wrote so much XD

in CCC try changing things so it doesn't have selected "application managed" for anti-aliasing or anisotropic filtering. change it to 2x instead. also make sure you have "wait for vertical refresh" turned to always off, and IN GAME settings make sure you have Sync Framerate turned to OFF also.

Ahh.. Its btr now.. ranging from 70-90+ on CFX. but still seems abit more stable on single graphics at aroung 75~80..

happy that the CF is doing btr though!! tyvm :D can't find the 'wait for vertical refresh' @_@

ahahahaha.. im not complaining.. my internet is so .. I normally lucky if i can get into a game.. with 300 ping... :p

By the way, check if you have dual gpus enabled in black ops. That might be your problem.

Those cfg tweaks don't do anything, you know. Just placebos.
