I just got my m17x r4 laptop yesterday, The problem is, It powers on lights up, 4 loud beebs, then a constent flow of 8 beeps, periodoclly of course.
I've tryed everything I could, resetting the cmos battery, draining the power, Taking out the gpu card, No luck.
Also it sometimes turns off after me turning it on, Not every time though.
I started out thinking it was an lcd issue, I'm not quite sure, Any help would be muchly appreciated!
Also I forgot to add, The screen is completely and in all other ways blank, I've attached a vga cable to it through a monitor and happened to get it only once to light up the monitor screen nothing else.

I've never used the laptop, Bought it off of Ebay.
I've got the backlight to turn on so far, and the power button is blinking, Still 8 beeps though

Then the person you bought it from might not be a decent man. Try to plug in a different laptop screen and if the laptop booted then you have screen EDID corruption as mentioned in the topic I linked before.
