    Hello everyone!

I just tried to watch a BR-movie but the drive did not recognize any disk at all!
    I immedialtely tried if other BR-Discs do work but it's a no-go!
I've already watched these BR-Discs. So they worked properly about 2 months ago :(

    DVDs work perfectly....

Is this a known issue or is the BR-Laser defective?

    Thank you for your help!

    Hi francinep7,

i've seen the dl-link at dell's website but i could not find the exact name of my bluraydrive and so i decided not to flash the firmware. I was afraid to flash a wrong firmware!

How to ensure that this firmware is for my drive?

    Thank's

    Hi Empty,

Click on the Device Manager (Windows+Pause button, Hardware, Device Manager)
Double click on the BD-ROM drives to view the model of the installed BD drive in your system
Ensure the BD-ROM model name shown there similar with the driver mentioned on Dell websites (M17xR2) before flashing the firmware.

    Hi Empty,

DenverESullivan (M17xR2 user) had a problem with his BD ROM last time. Not sure if it's the same problem as yours.
You can check on his thread below.
