Just got back home from a business trip and was switching to my personal computer and noticed that the blue lighting on the tip of my charger cord isn't fully illuminating as it once did. It's very very dim and flickering. I haven't had this rig for more then a few months, so I'm fairly confused on why it would be doing it[Normally something trivial like this wouldn't bother me, but as I said this isn't really an overused machine]. Is it just a faulty LED or is it a warning indicator for something? I did plug it in and turn on my laptop just to make sure it would still charge and it apparently still does, but I'm a little worried if the charger is faulty or not. Any help greatly appreciated :)

Try another wall outlet. If its still the same, call support and ask them to replace the charger.

Hello, just the other day i was looking behind my m17x R2 and i saw the blue led on the charging cable does not lit at all (and it used to). I use the laptop without battery. Is it possible that there's a setting for this and i'm worried without reason ? I mean everything works just fine except that the blue light does not lit at all.

sfara, sounds like you need to call Alienware and have them send you a new AC adapter.

The computer works just fine, it's just that the blue led doesn't light anymore. I can live with that but i was hoping it has something to do with settings or the fact that i keep the m17x battery out of the laptop. Calling Dell is not an option for me, the laptop was bought in USA and it's now in Eastern Europe.

To the best of my knowledge, the only purpose the blue LED provides is visual confirmation that the AC adapter has power. If the system is working totally fine otherwise, you should be able to ignore the fact that the LED does not light up.
