So after looking my M17x over, I notice a blue spec or piece of dirt. Now, I'm not sure off all my options since I am brand new to Alienware/Dell.

    I could...

    1) Just ignore it

    2) Call them...
-If they tell me to send it in is it worth it?
-Would they send someone to fix/replace it?
    -?
Someone told me that I should ask if they will give me some money back.

To be honest, I didn't even notice it until I went to check for dead pixels. 20120728_202811_HDR.jpg

Its obviously easy to see on a white background.

    I appreciate any opinion/help.

Call them, tell them your problem, ask them what they can do for you. It'll be the easiest way to see what they'll do, but they'll most likely offer to replace it. Dell has in-home repairs but I'm not sure what they do about dead pixels.

They will just probably send you a brand new LCD assembly, have a tech come over and swap the panels, and then you should be good to go. :)
