So I picked up Borderlands on steam, and I am posting this here as I think its more related to m17x R2.

Anyways when I start the game up it plays through my speaker system (Logitech z-5500) on analog.. After a logo or two (I think the gear box one) it switchs to the laptop speakers. Then if I pull out the speaker wires nothing happens, but when I plug it back in I lose sound all togther from borderlands (I can still alt tab to windows and have sound, or play a song through keyboard commands)

Anyone else experince a similiar issue or have any ideas?

Yeah, I have that with my Logitech G35 headset as well. You'll have to restart Borderlands. I'm not sure whether this is a Borderlands issue or with Logitech devices in general though.

Good to know someone out there is experiencing the same thing I am. xD
Nothing game breaking imo, but it sure is pretty frustrating when you want to switch systems on the run.

I don't have Borderlands, but I noticed that once and a while my center/sub stops working and I have to unplug & replug in my sub/center connection to get it working again. Really annoying since I may not notice it until after a while there's no bass or I can't hear the voices in game.

It's like the computer forgot it's there. It still shows 5.1, still goes through all the channels in the speaker test, just no sounds on those two until I replug it in.
