Damn it...few days back saw a bug crawling - so tried to shake it but ...it was inside ! On LCD matrix behind the front glass. Now -probably because of the hit- it died and obviously casing a lot of anger..
Any one had a similar issue? Any advice how to ged rid of it?
Contacted tech support but was ignored as that is not covered by warranty. They tell me to buy new LCD screen and replace or tap hard and try to shake it off :/ - how the hell the screen was put together when I can see bugs crawling on my screen (this is not the 1st laptop or item that uses LCD screen in my possession and I never have encountered that sort of a problem)

Lol wow. Isn't it supposed b to be sealed which means it wasn't properly built of a bug got in there meaning it is covered understand workmanship part of the warranty

Wow ..that's .... huh. I don't even know how you would deal with that. Are you still under warranty? Phone them and tell them the screen has a big black mark on it that won't go away haha, they will replace it.

It sounds unbelievable, but it happens from time to time. We had this case in the Samsung forum a few months ago. I would argue harder for a warranty repair, since either the screen wasn't sealed properly, or the bug was trapped there while still in the factory.

    LoL!
My advice is to look for any possible grille openings and get a 2400w vacuum cleaner and let it sux the bug out.

    Good luck :)

You see it in the UK with these little thunder bugs, they get everywhere and are attracted by the bright light.

If it was not there from factory then it'll probably not be covered by the warranty. It would be considered a cosmetic issue that does not affect performance. Shaking it could work but opening it is the only way to get it out. Unfortunately, disassembling the LCD isn't quite easy and you could end up with another issue.

Well contacted dell support and they said - no you are not covered ! Will try on other occasion maybe some1 else would be more concerned. I said that laptop never left a room, always have a light on (he suggested that I sit in total darkness and screen has attracted a bug and somehow (how even that would be possible !) crawl inside between the LCD matrix and front glass/plastic shielding .....DOH!
Shaking it did not help. Got some small suction cups did not help...like the screen is glued to the front panel (which obviously it is not as the bug was "walking freely" until it died probably from the heat....damn it :(
