Will it work properly on the A04 modified bios?
I just need to know if I can just insert it(properly of course), install the drivers after removing the previous ones, and it will work and fully function.

I'm pretty sure that it will work. You may have problems with the fan control but that is easily fixed with HWInfo64.

Wonder if it'll blow the 580m away with a bit of overclock...

I doubt it. Not to rain on anyone's parade, but the 580m is the same thing as the 485m, but with newer architecture and higher stock clocks. The 485m cannot handle heat as well as the 580m. I'm sure an overclocked 485m would be able to match or surpass a stock 580m, but an overclocked 580m would make a 485m look foolish.

I use the gtx485m regulary but if you plan to play more than two hours non stop, use hwinfo64.
Also, no, u need to modify the gpu for having the heatsink attached.

yep, but as you see it,s not an easy ''work'', i think it might be better having a gtx580m than gtx485m without warranty from dell and no driver update.

I'll take that into consideration. Though I'll have to wait a bit longer to buy a 580m. :( But thanks Darcoder :D
