So was purchasing a m17x r3 from the forums but noticed there's short supply of the 675m gpu from other resellers, should I wait for Dell to have a supply or just buy a 580m? How well does it game in 3D? Movies are fluid? Thanks :3

From what I have read all over the net, 675M = 580M. No differences apart from the name. The specs and performance of the two cards is identical, also both are Fermi and not latest-gen Kepler. So you wouldnt be losing much at all if you go for the 580M for 3D at this point of time, reason being the new kepler card 680M is not officially supported in the r3, hence leaving you those two options (580M aand 675M) for 3D in r3, the two being one and the same.
As for fluid gaming and movie watching in 3D on the r3, being an owner of the 580M myself, its all pretty solid, just dont go on to compare it to the 680M :)

as mahesh has said they are pretty much the exact same card, this is why some people are flashing their 580m's to a 675m
