    Has anyone had a warranty replacement for their CPU on an R3 recently? I just shipped my R3 to Dell today due to a CPU issue (7 beeps upon trying to boot). I have an i7-2860QM installed. I'm wondering if they'll be able to replace it or if I'll have to get a different CPU. (i.e., What's the availability of the i7-2860QM these days?) Guess I'll find out next week, though!

    If it is the cpu.. They probably replace it with the same cpu, op they upgrade..
    All replacement parts are either the samen u got in, or better..

    I know with gpu's they wont change for a newer model than u biught the notebook (so they wont change gtx6** for a gtx7**),, (but they can change 675m to 680m)

    Looks like I've gotten a new motherboard (GFWM3). My repaired laptop should arrive tomorrow... can't wait to get back on it!

    It is working perfectly... Thank you!! I kept getting follow-up calls asking if it was working, but I never was in a position to answer my phone since my job is meeting heavy. An email survey would have worked much better for me.
