Hi guy. I think i posted something about this awhile ago, but i havn't noticed it as much until recently.
I have a Q9000 2.0 (overclocked to 2.4) quad core cpu in my M17x R1. It seems to me now, EVERY time i restart my computer, be it from updates, installs or just restarting it myself, when it comes back up, my core 1 is always running higher than the others.
This may not seem like a bad problem, but it is. Because it doesn't ever slow down to the other speed. like right now they are all running about even at 3-9%. but if i were to restart, core 1 would be running around 20-30%. which causes my computer to run slowly, take longer to start up, and don't even think about playing a game.
When this does happen, all i have to do is SHUTDOWN the computer completely. Then turn it back on again. presto! fixed until i restart it again. and it is NOT an overclocking problem, because it has been doing this way before i started overclocking.
So my question is, do I need the cpu replace? I'd rather not because they are a hassle, plus i can over clock to 2.4 and I don't want to get one that isn't as good.
PS, I have already had the motherboard replaced for a sound issue.

Maybe it's throttling?
You might need to update your bios.

Or download throttlestop. -
I don't think that's the problem. and i did update bios, last night along with video drivers. I'd love to just exchange this buggy model for an R2.
